Main
instruments of filling of the budget of the Pension Fund are de-shadowing of the economy, economic
development and legalization of labor market. This was started by Vice Prime
Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.
“When in 2011
the retirement age was increased, I had talked about the fact that the result
of this step would not balance the budget and would not increase pensions, - he
said. – This model of pension reform is not a catalyst for reducing the deficit
of the Pension Fund of Ukraine”.
"Our
problems differ significantly from the problems of the pension system of other
countries. So the standard advice of the IMF for us is not very relevant,"
Pavlo Rozenko says.
According
to him, the problem of the Pension Fund is that today from about 18 million
citizens who work only 11 million citizens pay pension contributions.
"Many of those who pay these contributions make it of the minimum wage,
getting the rest in the "envelope". So this is an additional resource
of the Pension Fund – de-shadowing of the economy, economic development and
legalization of the labor market", Vice Prime Minister said.
