Amendments into the Tax Code will allow the country to implement a comprehensive anti-corruption policy for the field of tax administration. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in his opening statement during the Government session on Wednesday.

"And most importantly, we will create serious barriers where earlier funds used to be plundered from the State budget and converted in cash through conversion centers. That is, this Code, these changes enable us to pursue a comprehensive anti-corruption policy in the area of tax administration", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister recalled that at the recent meeting of the National Council of Reforms chaired by the President of Ukraine they had discussed the amendments to the Tax Code in the part of tax administration.

The Head of Government noted that the discussion of tax changes had lasted for 4 months. In this context, he thanked the Minister of Finance, representatives of the Government, the public sector and the Parliament for the constructive cooperation.

Following approval of amendments to the Tax Code by the Government they must be backed by the Parliament, which will give us "a real chance to enter 2017 as was planned with a new Budget containing clear priorities and prospects", accentuated Volodymyr Groysman.
