The potential of Ukrainian science and technology must be combined with the real sector of the economy, which will enable the country to produce a competitive national product. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced, talking to journalists at the exhibition of national science and technology solutions.

"Our task today is to pool the potential of Ukrainian science and transfer it into the real sector thereby obtaining an opportunity to produce a competitive Ukrainian national product", said Volodymyr Groysman.

He noted that Ukrainian scientists have a number of effective solutions, in particular in security, medicine, agriculture sectors, which are often purchased by other countries, hence they use these solutions in their national production.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to build such industrial chains that would enable us to produce such competitive product in Ukraine. In this regard, he recalled that the Government had established a National Industry Development Committee.

The Government plans to invest in research and technology, and into production of real products, he noted.

Namely, the defence domain sees investment. Next year it is planned to increase financing for projects of young scientists.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that there are a lot of infrastructure projects in which it is possible to introduce the solutions of the Ukrainian technology, particularly carriage building. Also under the programs of support for agriculture we could encourage production of Ukrainian agricultural machinery.

"We have areas where we can join efforts nowadays", he said.

On Wednesday the Prime Minister visited the exhibition of science and technology of the institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the framework of the IX International Exhibition "LABComplEX. Analytics. Laboratory. Biotechnology. HI-TECH and PHARMATechExpo".
