The upcoming heating season is expected to hold smoothly. The Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk said on air of the 112 channel today, October 10.

According to Ihor Nasalyk, the accumulation of fuel is carried out in full compliance with the schedule approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the framework of preparation for the autumn-winter period. "I want to assure all our citizens that there won’t be any problems with the heating period in Ukraine", said the Minister.

Moreover, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry noted that there are a number of reasons to air such confidence. In particular, Ukraine has significantly grown the production of electricity – by the equivalent of half a million tons of coal. Ihor Nasalyk also told that the basis of heat generation exceeds twofold the needs of Ukraine. In addition, there were accumulated 1.7 million tons of coal in the storages. An additional amount of 0.5 million tons was chartered in the framework of diversification of coal supply in Ukraine.

The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine acts responsibly in the matter of implementation of works on preparation for winter, scheduled repairs of power units. "There are no problems in the energy sector and, I think, we won’t face any", summed up the Minister.
