  • Prime Minister thanked MPs for their constructive work and synergy with the Government in the development of crucial decisions for the country

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman thanked the MPs of Ukraine for their constructive work with the Government on the draft Budget for 2017 and elaboration of vital decisions that are changing the country. Prime Minister said at the Government session on Wednesday.

    "I wanted to thank the deputies for the valuable work”, said Volodymyr Groysman. Just look at the previous plenary day, how many necessary decisions had been adopted, in particular on industrial policy, technological parks, and environment. These contained both initiatives of the Government and the MPs. It is an absolutely normal collaboration. I will fully support us having a substantive dialogue".

    The Head of Government noted that there are MPs who bring about destruction, but they constitute a minority, the vast majority of them engage in constructive meetings, activities.

    So, the Prime Minister said that yesterday, the day before yesterday and last week he had had meetings with the factions of the Petro Poroshenko Block, the People’s Front, the Samopomich Union, Oleh Lyashko’s Radical Party, groups the Will of the People and the Revival Party, during which the participants discussed the draft Budget for 2017, its priorities, the economy, economic growth, wage improvement, "a lot of things that will trigger changes in Ukraine".

    The Government responded to professional questions, avoiding populism. "It was a very substantive, constructive conversation”, noted the Head of Government. “We are working to change Ukraine and I believe we will succeed".

    The Prime Minister stressed that he doesn’t see any obstacles for Ukraine to develop sound economy, defensive capacity and become a European country.

    To achieve this goal "we must unite more around absolutely transparent and correct solutions that will unleash the potential of the country, while will make people richer, so that at last people could live in contentment as the situation changes for better", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
