The Government will propose to the Parliament to amend the State budget, thereby allotting an additional resource in the amount of UAH 6 billion for financing national security and defense until the end of the current year. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister told that the Government had recently considered an issue of ensuring equitable funding of the national security and defence, namely the Defence Ministry as well as material support for the Ukrainian military, the National Police force, State Border Service and National Guard of Ukraine.

"In this regard, the Government found the possibility to allot UAH 6 billion UAH and by the end of the year through amending the State budget that we are to direct to the Ukrainian Parliament we must ensure this sphere to be funded smoothly", said Volodymyr Groysman.
