This year there will be purchased 70 mobile weighing systems for checking cargo carriers and preventing the destruction of the Ukrainian roads. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said during the inspection of construction activities on main highways in Cherkasy, Kirovograd and Poltava regions on Tuesday.

"The objective for the Ministry of Infrastructure is to buy this year 70 such weighting complexes. Therefore, there are carried out certain procurement procedures. This will enable starting next year to apply such monitoring procedure all around the country", said Volodymyr Groysman.

The Head of Government noted that unscrupulous carriers overload their vehicles, thereby destroying the roads of Ukraine and bringing about their destruction. Such actions will be firmly addressed and will get an appropriate response, he emphasized.

The weighing equipment will be in use of the vehicle inspection UkrtransBezpeka that has been seized of this issue.

"I think when drivers, their companies begin to pay hefty fines, they will stop", urged the Prime Minister.
