Ministry of Finance presented the preliminary draft of amendments to the Tax Code

The Ministry of Finance, jointly with MPs, business community and experts, has elaborated a package of amendments meant to improve the tax system.

The draft amendments were first discussed by the working group and then presented to the public for comments and proposals. The partners of the Ministry of Finance have different visions and approaches to the tax system, and it was important to elaborate a well-balanced and optimal tax system for business.

The goal of the Ministry of Finance is to reduce pressure on business and to create favorable conditions for its development. The question which is often asked in meetings with businessmen is not about introducing a lower VAT rate, but about the timely VAT refund.

The Ministry of Finance is not asked for a lower corporate tax rate, it is asked why the tax police pursue unauthorized criminal proceedings against business. The liquidation of the tax police is subject to a separate draft law.
