Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine took part in a meeting of the Olympic headquarters in Rio de Janeiro

August 7, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Igor Zhdanov took part in the meeting of the Olympic headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. Together with management of the staff — the chief of mission Nina Umanets, Deputy chief of mission Mykola Kostenko, members of the staff, athletes and coaches – Igor Zhdanov got acquainted with living conditions of the Ukrainian team.

The Minister noted that after communication with coaches, athletes, massage therapists, and a medical team there were revealed certain problems but they were being gradually solved. Igor Zhdanov added that our headquarters were operating non-stop, the team was ready to fight. Another problem is the Russian media misinformation that was discussed during the staff’s meeting.

It should be noted that August 8 is the third competition day at ХХХІ Summer Olympics.
