Gov't simplifies the procedure for the electronic administration of fuel sales
Following
the initiative of the Ministry of Finance, the Government of Ukraine has
adopted a draft decree aimed to simplify and give more transparency to the
procedure of the registration of all entities selling fuel as excise tax
payers. The adoption of the draft decree “On Amendments to the Procedure of the
Electronic Administration of Fuel Sales” enables entities acting on the basis
of joint economic activity without establishing a legal entity to get
registered as excise tax payers to sell fuel.
The
Ministry of Finance is actively working to improve the tax system in Ukraine
including steps to simplify tax administration and to improve the business
climate.
The adopted
draft decree makes it possible to adjust the Procedure of the electronic
administration of fuel sales (Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No.
113 dated February 24, 2016) to the current Tax Code. It removes the provision
which allows private persons and legal entities only to be registered as excise
tax payers to sell fuel. This provision prohibited entities acting on the basis
of joint economic activity without establishing a legal entity from getting
registered as excise tax payers to sell fuel.
