On Wednesday,
July 6, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at a Government’s meeting
has presented the report of the Government of Ukraine for the second quarter of
2016.
According to him,
the Government has managed to achieve positive changes in the economy and
overcome the crisis in the country 2.5 months after its formation on April 14. The
Government adopted an anti-crisis plan - the plan of priority actions of the
Government - and provides today the quarterly interim report.
"We have now
positive signals regarding the development of the national economy and
stabilization of the situation, including the currency. These signals are good,
but we must understand that these signals should be strengthened in order to
boost this growth, make it notable, improve the current situation and ensure
macroeconomic stability," stated Volodymyr Groysman.
The report has
been prepared on the basis of the work of all Ministries of the Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine, he said.
The Prime
Minister has stressed the importance of presenting such a quarterly report concerning
the activity of the institution, existing problems and future plans by each
authority at all levels in Ukraine. "It
will be essential to build high-quality dialogue not with politicians and
populists, but with civil society and people," he stressed.
Volodymyr
Groysman has underlined that the Government's strategic objective is to ensure
sustainable economic growth in Ukraine and increase the level and quality of
life.
"The Government’s policy is absolutely realistic. We object to populism. We will take no decisions that might have put the Ukrainian State, statehood and people in jeopardy. We do not perceive any populist rhetoric," emphasized the Head of Government.
