The Cabinet of Ministers will make a decision on the harmonization of the rules of connection to the power grid for enterprises at its next meeting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has said at a Government’s meeting on Friday, 1 July.

"We have mutual understanding on the issue with the regulator. We have to harmonize the rules of connection at the next meeting of the Government. This should be done at the level of a governmental instruction for now and at the level of the legislation in future," stated Volodymyr Groysman.

"The entire Ukrainian business is moaning about inability to connect to the power grid. What kind of an electricity kingdom is that?" he pointed out.

The Prime Minister stressed that these barriers should have been eliminated 10-20 years ago - it would have created a very different situation in the economy today.
