On Tuesday, June
14, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman started his visit to the
United States by meeting with Ukrainian Community leaders.
"You're
doing a great thing for Ukraine and Ukrainians. Your active international position,
which draws attention to Ukraine, your volunteer efforts, assistance to our
soldiers, support for various programs - we feel it.
It is
extremely important in this difficult time," stated Volodymyr Groysman.
The Prime Minister
thanked the Ukrainian Community in the United States for their efforts and
support for Ukraine.
The Prime
Minister informed about the priorities of the Government aimed at, in particular,
ensuring macroeconomic stability and creating a favorable business climate. Volodymyr
Groysman talked about the steps undertaken by the Government, including the
introduction of the single market-based gas price, decentralization, start of civil
service reform, preparation for the introduction of electronic declaration of
civil servants as well as public privatization of state-owned enterprises. Moreover,
the Government is working on the creation of an investment support agency under
the Prime Minister of Ukraine, he pointed out.
The participants also discussed the situation in Donbas, the reform progress in the country and fight against corruption.
