During the Ministerial meeting held in Vienna on 13 June, 2016 Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin stated on the important role and place of Ukraine in the process of facilitating the entry into force of the CTBT.

Special attention of the international community was drawn to the practical contribution of Ukraine to the development of the CTBTO International Monitoring System by hosting in Malin (Ukraine) technologically advanced primary seismic station PS 45, which enables Ukraine to identify the precise location of nuclear explosion sources and register maximum amount of relevant sources.

In Vienna, Minister Pavlo Klimkin is going to meet with European and American partners as well as high-level authorities from the Secretariats of the International organizations.
