The Government will continue to delegate powers to the local authorities ensuring self-sufficiency of communities and their ability to provide quality services for citizens. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this, opening a meeting over issues concerning consolidation of territorial communities with Sokyriany district, Chernivtsi region as an example, on Friday, 10 June.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the decentralization reform had already shown positive results, particularly fiscal decentralization initiated a significant increase in revenues to the local budgets. According to him, these resources are enhancing the ability of communities to address urgent needs.
