Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has
launched operation of three hydroelectric units at the Dniester PSPS in the
city of Novodnistrovsk, Chernivtsi
region, in order to join them to the Ukrainian power grid. The
launch of hydro units from the main control panel with capacity of 972 MW will
be implemented for the first time in the history of the station.
The visit Volodymyr Groysman to the Dniester PSP was part of the working visit
of the Prime Minister to Chernivtsi region on Friday,
10 June.
The Prime
Minister also met with the staff of the station. "The
development of hydropower should not stop, but accelerate," pointed out Volodymyr Groysman, referring to
the employees of the Dniester PSP.
He noted that
hydropower industry should receive a clear roadmap for the next ten years that
would ensure strategic planning of its development.
Volodymyr Groysman also thanked the staff for their work and order at the station, which, according to him, should be an example for other enterprises. "Energy independence of our country is in your hands. Good luck!" he noted.
