Gov't to settle issue on timely payment of pensions and social benefits to IDPs at its meeting on Wednesday

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is going to resolve the issue over the timely payment of pensions and social benefits to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at its regular meeting on Wednesday.

With the adoption of amendments to the law on protection of the rights and freedoms of IDPs from January 13, 2016, there has been incoherence with the current resolution of the CMU №509 from October 1, 2014, regarding the registration of IDPs.

Because of such incoherence, some internally displaced persons have experienced difficulties in the processing payments from social protection offices. Currently, due to the changes in the resolution, any obstacles to the rapid processing of payments will be eliminated, while payments will be received on time and in full.
