  • Ukrainian Armed Forces and NATO representatives discuss implementation of NATO standards in Ukrainian sergeants training system

    Lt. Gen. Ihor Kolesnyk, First Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, held meeting with Command Sergeant Major Davor Petek, Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) for Allied Command Operations at NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), and Command Sergeant Major Sheryl Lyon, USAREUR.

    Chief Warrant Officer Oleksandr Kosynskyi and representatives of structural units of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also attended the event.

    The participants discussed the issue of NCOs professional development and implementation of the NATO standards in the system of their training.

    “We see the considerable improvement of training the Ukrainian NCOs,” Command Sergeant Major Davor Petek stressed. Foreign guests also shared their impressions of five day visit.

    The Ukrainian party thanked for constructive cooperation, particularly, in sharing the experience of sergeants training, and consultative assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
