Reforms of Ukrainian GS are based on NATO principles and standards

Col. Serhiy Maslovskyi, Deputy Chief of Main Directorate of Defence and Mobilization Planning of the General Staff of Ukraine, stated it during a briefing on activities of the Subcommittee of Reforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The officer remarked the reforms of the General Staff were conducted along with the reforms of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine under the NATO standards and principles. According to him, the reform allows allocation of functions on troops (forces) engagement, establishment of functional relations between structural units of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff, as well increase of personnel responsibility of leaders, delegation of powers at the lowest command level and establishment of structures used in NATO nations.
