Ukraine is in need of a system able to prevent barbaric and massive deforestation. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this, opening a Government’s meeting on Wednesday, 11 May.

The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine is facing massive deforestation. "People literally scream for help, and a very fast response of the Government is needed," he said.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that the day before he discussed the issue of deforestation with Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine Semerak and Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovyi.

"Today we will make a decision on dismissal of the head of the State Forest Resources Agency. But this is just an organizational decision. We need to create a system able to prevent current barbaric deforestation in Ukraine," underlined the Prime Minister.
