We should change the system of decision-making and enhance the quality of governance in Ukraine. It is necessary to overcome the overregulation and the burden on businesses, to promote the development of the national economy and restore social justice in the country. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with representatives of domestic and foreign business representatives on Thursday, April 28. The meeting was also attended by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

The Head of Government noted that most restraints that hindered the creation of a favorable business climate in the country were created by the authorities, including using the mechanisms of the tax system, customs and regulatory inspections.

According to him, the quality of governance should be changed; the process should be open, public and understandable for the Ukrainian society and international partners.

In this regard, the Prime Minister stressed that among the main priorities of the Government are reforms of the tax system, deregulation, cooperation under the Memorandum with the IMF and reforms of the Ukrainian customs.

The Government will also work towards introduction of mechanisms for public open privatization. The Prime Minister stressed state-owned enterprises in Ukraine should have quality managers. "Administration of SOEs should be elected on grounds of professionalism, nut not on grounds of proximity to government", he said.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers will contribute to overcoming corruption in the judiciary, in particular making public cases when judges making illegal decisions. So, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to analyze each case and the activities of the judge who makes the relevant decisions.

Volodymyr Groysman assured that the Government will be open and public. It will operate to develop solutions together with expert community, civil society and business representatives: "The Government will work closely with the President of Ukraine and the Parliament, which will contribute to producing effective solutions".

"We should defeat the enemy by success, by our own success, but not only of the enemy. And we must defeat with our success all those negative things that, unfortunately, we have", said the Prime Minister and called on business representatives to cooperate. "The doors of the Government are opened for you," - said Volodymyr Groysman.
