Volodymyr Groysman discussed with Angela Merkel reforms in Ukraine, Germany's support in overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe and implementation of the Minsk agreements

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman had a conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The parties discussed the issues of reforms in Ukraine, support of the country by Germany in overcoming the consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe, the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

During conversation Angela Merkel wished the new Government success in promoting reforms. She invited Volodymyr Groysman to visit Germany in the coming months.

In turn, Prime Minister pledged to implement reforms. "The situation is not simple, but we are serious about effective work", he stressed.

Volodymyr Groysman thanked the Chancellor for her support and stressed the new Government's commitment to bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Germany, expressing hope for effective cooperation.

The Prime Minister has accepted an offer to visit Germany. "I thank you for the invitation. I thank you that Ukraine occupies an important place in your busy schedule," he said.
