Support for investment promotion in various fields of life of Ukraine is one of the priorities for the new Government. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the closing ceremony of Ukrainian-Danish Business Forum with the participation of Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Rasmussen on Tuesday, 19 April.

"The issue of simplification of procedures, deregulation, the issue of public, transparent privatization, the investment support issues are among the priorities for the Government’s agenda," said Volodymyr Groysman.

The Prime Minister informed that today in the framework of the official visit of Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Rasmussen to Ukraine was held a meeting at which the Heads of Government discussed the possibility to enhance the potential of bilateral cooperation.

"We discussed investment in the agricultural sector, energy efficiency and other areas where we might very well unite our efforts and innovations in order to provide quality business and development of the national economy," pointed out the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Moreover, noted Volodymyr Groysman, there were meetings between business representatives of Denmark and Ukraine. "This suggests that we have a very important and interesting basis for cooperation," he stressed.

The Prime Minister has emphasized that Ukraine is going through hard times, so it is important to respond adequately to the challenges we face today, as well as work on recovery of the Ukrainian economy. "We hope that our joint efforts will open for us new areas for mutual investment, development of the processing industry, creation of jobs, and Ukraine will become a cozy home for every entrepreneur," said the Prime Minister.

In this context, the Prime Minister assured that the new Cabinet of Ministers would be zero tolerant for those "deficiencies in Ukrainian legislation, which cause problems for doing business", corruption, any abuses in the tax sphere and customs clearance. Thus, a comprehensive action plan for the transparency of customs and simplification of procedures faced by entrepreneurs will be developed within the coming weeks, informed the Prime Minister.

In addition, Ukraine should settle the issues of tax administration, as well as of the supervisory and regulatory functions of state bodies. "We will do everything in order to ensure that every official who has supervisory functions knows his place, understands, and realizes that he is a employee hired by those taxpayers who are now creating jobs, national production and added value in the territory of Ukraine," emphasized Volodymyr Groysman.

Also one of the tasks of the Ukrainian authorities is to develop stable tax legislation that will provide predictability for business. "We cannot change the rules of the game in the process of investing. We move towards new tax legislation, but we are to do this together and predictable in order to provide business in Ukraine with a comprehensive response, how and what taxes will be paid, how they will be administered in order to prevent anyone from coming to your enterprises with surprises," said the Prime Minister.

"These are challenges but I am confident that we can handle them efficiently, said the Prime Minister. - Implicitly, with your support the Government will do its utmost to ensure completely public, open position." In turn, the Government counts on cooperation and frank dialogue with business. "May the goal you set for yourself - new opportunities, new contracts and new production - bring you profit, and may this profit be reinvested into recovery and strengthening of the Ukrainian economy and may our bilateral relationship in this way strengthen," stated Volodymyr Groysman.

"You should do your job, you have to create new jobs, and the authorities should serve you, the Prime Minister underlined. - We will seek to provide a comfortable environment to everyone who invests hryvnia or dollar, or euro into the Ukrainian economy, but we still have a long way to go in order to achieve this."
