Volodymyr Groysman says Gov't has to ensure maximum transparency in health care and its own activities
The Government
should ensure maximum transparency in all spheres of life, including health
care, as well as its own activities. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during
Government’s Question Time in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday.
"I am
convinced that we have to create a complete transparency, including in health
issues. We are ready and open up to those proposals that can resolve the
problem," said Volodymyr Groysman
answering a question as to providing patients with renal failure.
In this context, in particular, it is necessary
to resolve the issue of drug prices, noted the Prime Minister. "There
should be no monopoly when it comes to the health of people," underlined
the Prime Minister, adding that the Government has to solve this issue.
"If the
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine can adopt decisions able to affect the lowering
of drug prices, we will approve them," assured Volodymyr
Groysman, noting that the Government would look for the
support from the Ukrainian Parliament in the adoption of legislative
initiatives. "I believe in it because this Parliament often takes the
right decisions that benefit the Ukrainians," noted Volodymyr
Groysman.
In turn, the
Government and Ministers should also be as open and transparent as possible.
"This Government will make every effort to be open, efficient and sincere
in its actions toward Ukrainian society," said the Prime Minister and urged
MPs to support the Government in these endeavors.
