Today, on March 30, the Netherlands hosted the Ukrainian-Dutch Business Forum which gathered business and government representatives from both countries. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko and included Minister of Agrarian Policy & Food Olexii Pavlenko, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmytro Shymkiv, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development & Trade Yulia Kovaliv, Deputy Minister of Economic Development & Trade/Trade Representative of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Vaskov, and others.
The Netherlands is de-facto the largest foreign direct investor in Ukraine. More than 350 Dutch companies operate, invest, and sell products in Ukraine, thereby creating jobs and contributing to the development of the Ukrainian economy.
Today almost 300 representatives of business and government came together to discuss further bilateral cooperation and opportunities for investment in Ukraine, particularly in the sectors of energy efficiency, transport and infrastructure, IT, engineering, as well as agriculture.
Dutch participants of the panel discussions expressed their readiness to invest in Ukraine and Ukrainian representatives, for their part, unanimously expressed their full readiness to assist and promote the arrival of new Dutch companies in Ukraine. Those Dutch participants who are doing business in Ukraine encouraged their colleagues to invest in Ukraine and create new jobs.
