Thursday, March 17, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met HE Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of India to Ukraine Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti.
The meeting concerned the main objectives on the agenda of Ukrainian-Indian cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian spheres.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized the significant potential that should be developed in relations between Ukraine and India. The deeper partnership poses a substantial interest for our country, he said. Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed that the cooperation between Ukraine and India requires a new serious impetus, and the Ukrainian Government is keen to revive bilateral cooperation in all spheres.
In the context of development of bilateral relations the interlocutors discussed the organization in the short term of an investment forum Ukraine - India, which could become the catalyst of business contacts between the two countries.
The Ambassador of India Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti outlined top priority actions, adding these can enhance bilateral collaboration, and noted the particular importance of active dialogue with Ukraine: "Just look at India in the 15-year term as a source of significant benefits, which can pose unconditional interest to the Ukrainian economy, the business community and at the same time for the entire Ukrainian society".
During the meeting there was also raised an issue of preparation for the meeting of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial and cultural cooperation, due to take place this year.
Another issue for discussion was a possibility of humanitarian exchange and development of educational projects between the two countries.
