Advisor to
the Minister on ensuring TV and Radio broadcasting Oleksandr
Brygynets
, in the framework of the monitoring mission of the Ministry of
information policy of Ukraine in the ATO zone, visited Avdiivka
where he studied the informational situation of the front-line city.
Advisor
reported that cable television in Avdiivka covers 2/3
of the apartments of residents, who are actively connecting to the network with
a powerful package of Ukrainian TV channels.
"Cable
television pushes out T2, which broadcast here occupational and
collaborationist Donetsk TV channels. There is good news for those who do not
have cable television - we have recently begun the process of formation of
on-air broadcasting here, which earlier was taken from Donetsk", says the Advisor
to the Minister.
In
particular, the new transmitting equipment was installed in this territory two
weeks ago, which was allocated in the framework of the Commission under MIP.
"Two
national TV channels are already active here, but this is only the beginning of
the process," says Secretary of the city council Artem
Sabadash. "We need to cover with the signal the
Old Avdiivka more, as it is very stretched and
requires special attention".
Oleksandr
Brygynets noted that locals tell about the activity
of Internet usage, from where they take information only from the Ukrainian
mass media, including television.
In
addition, city newspaper "Avdiivskyi visnyk" has begun to spread more actively.
