During a session of the Government on Thursday, March 10, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has appealed to entrepreneurs, "The twofold reduction of the single social contribution’s rate is a tool. We urge businesses to use this tool, to come out of the shadows and to pay fair salaries. We did our utmost for this."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk has reminded that last year the Government halved the payroll tax. In order to balance the country's Pension fund and increase pensions by 12% during the year, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated UAH144 billion to direct budget subsidies: "To pay off all pensions as they have being paid for the last two years and to have enough money to increase pensions."

This step of the Government requires the appropriate step from business and entrepreneurs - legalization of salaries.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk has once again appealed to businessmen: "We have taken our step. We are asking you to do your step. Because shadow salaries and salaries in envelopes mean a lack of adequate pension provision in the future for Ukrainian citizens, as well as lack of social security."

"For 20 years there has been discussed the fact about too high tax rate on wages in Ukraine. We halved it. This means that salaries should come out of the shadows. This means that people should receive the highest amount of salaries because we assumed the funding of the Pension Fund. And we will increase budget revenues and income of citizens, as well as financial resources for entrepreneurs, thanks to de-shadowing," underlined the Prime Minister.
