More than 20 agricultural enterprises will be privatized in the nearest time

The privatization of state enterprises of the agrarian industry is a very important direction for the Ministry’s activity. Moreover, according to Oleksii Pavlenko, it is very important to complete the privatization of large agricultural enterprises by the end of the current year.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is ready to transfer 429 business entities to the State Property Fund of Ukraine. “As the result of privatization of the enterprises of the industry, more than 100.000 people will receive their land shares. They have been waiting for this time for more than 20 years”, the Minister underlined.

21 enterprises of the agricultural sector are included in the list of state enterprises to be sold in 2016, as planned by the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

“I have reiterated this many times that transparent agricultural privatization is one of the main preconditions for successful reforms, completing the war on corruption and further growth of the industry’s economic performance”, Oleksiy Pavlenko stressed.

“The privatization of enterprises means new development prospects for them, increased investments and new technologies, and, more generally, the creation of new jobs, development of rural communities and budget revenues”, the Minister stressed.
