“I extend my hand to the President Poroshenko and his faction. Not just I do but the entire
People’s Front faction does, as we are the basis for the coalition and the
basis for the changes within the country together with the faction of the
President. We should forget about political blackmail and change the rules of
the Ukrainian politics. It must be European," said Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a Government meeting on Thursday.
“I appeal
to the President, his faction and to all sensible and democratic forces – to
turn a page. We have no right to allow a horror scenario of dissolution of the
country and to repeat the mistakes of 2005”, urged the Prime Minister.
He reminded
how the crisis of those times had ended for the country and urged politicians
to forget past grievance and assume full responsibility for the fate of the
country, to advance further.
Arseniy
Yatsenyuk noted that he compassionated the factions that had decided to
withdraw from the parliamentary coalition: "Everyone should have an
ability to bear political responsibility. But we can’t afford to plunge the
country into instability, chaos, to deprive of external support, of reforms,
can’t afford economic and political destabilization".
However, he
hailed the decision of the Radical Party faction on their readiness to
negotiate on the return into the coalition. The Prime Minister plans to hold
consultations with this political force as well as with the Head of State and
the leadership of his faction.
