    "For the first time in history of Ukraine we will pass though the winter without Russian gas", stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Friday, 12 February, at a meeting with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine.

    He stressed that Ukraine had managed to diversify the supplies of natural gas: "Due to our joint activities with the EU member countries, with our Western partners, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank and other international organizations, we have provided significant diversification and energy independence for the country. For the first time in history of Ukraine we will pass through the winter without Russian gas. This is a real reform."

    Arseniy Yatsenyuk also expressed gratitude to Western partners - the European Union, the USA, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the assistance in reforming the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine, noting that the programme of reforming the Naftogaz is one of the most efficient.
