Italy is interested in projects on organic products and bioethanol production in Ukraine

Italy is one of the major partners in terms of reforms in the agricultural sector of Ukraine. Successful projects in the agricultural sector implemented by Ukraine together with Italy were yet another evidence of this, as Oleksii Pavlenko,  the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine stressed during a meeting with Fabrizio Romano, the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the promising directions for further cooperation, outlined in the interdepartmental Memorandum of Cooperation in the agricultural industry. According to the provisions of the Memorandum, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the following directions: crop production and processing; animals breeding and processing of animal products; development and functioning of agriculture markets; food industry; organic food production; agricultural mechanization and agricultural infrastructure; biofuels and bioenergy; development of rural areas, rural tourism and small rural business.

The Italian part has expressed the special interest in the projects of organic products and bioethanol production.
