Arseniy Yatsenyuk had telephone talks with Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan
On
Wednesday, 6 January, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk had a phone
conversation with his counterparts - the heads of Government of Kazakhstan and
Azerbaijan.
During
the conversation with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim
Massimov there were tackled topical issues of
economic cooperation between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the delivery of Ukrainian products to Kazakhstan and transit transportation. The leaders of the Ukrainian and Kazakh governments confirmed readiness to solve pressing issues and gave commissions to national competent authorities to complete the negotiations to ensure optimal and efficient transit.
The
Prime Minister of Ukraine also informed his Kazakh counterpart about the intention
of Ukraine to immediately notify members of the World Trade Organization (WTO)
about unlawful actions of the Russian Federation regarding the transit of
Ukrainian goods, as well as to request applying tools of organization to
respond to such actions of the Russian Federation.
In the
course of the conversation of Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and
Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade focused on the transit of Ukrainian products as
well.
Heads of
Azerbaijani and Ukrainian government reached understanding regarding the ways
to address urgent issues of transit and agreed to summon meetings of national
commissioners and coordinate necessary technical decisions.
