The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine informed that during the official visit to Israel among topical issues would be tackled the free trade zone between the countries. On December 22-23, 2015, Aivaras Abromavicius is staying in Israel as a member of the Ukrainian delegation headed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. In Tel Aviv the delegation is scheduled to meet with President of Israel Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Moreover, during the visit Aivaras Abromavicius is due to meet with representatives of business circles of Israel, to participate in a special plenary session of the Israeli Parliament and hold a meeting with Speaker of the Knesset Yuli Edelstein.

As was reported, following the negotiations on a free trade area with Canada, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade had intensified the talks with Israel and Turkey on the introduction of free trade areas with these countries.
