Arseniy Yatsenyuk: I believe that the Parliament is eager to stabilize the economy and will approve the jointly elaborated budget before the end of year
”I believe that we will get enough courage
up to approve both the budget and tax changes, to create new jobs and to allow
Ukraine’s further development. Avoiding politicking and hollow statements, but exceptionally
by implementing gradual right and effective reforms", said Prime Minister
of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in Parliament before the draft budget and tax
changes were introduced on Thursday, December 17.
"We believe
that the Ukrainian Parliament is eager to stabilize the Ukrainian economy, so
the law of Ukraine on the state budget, which we will finalize together, will
be adopted before the end of the current year", stressed the Head of
Government.
He appealed to
the MPs: "We can represent different political forces. We can have
different visions of how Ukraine should develop. But I believe that we have a
common goal - the development of Ukrainian economy, creating new jobs, ensuring
social justice and gradual economic growth."
The Prime
Minister stressed that he fully supported the stance of the Chairman of the Verkhovna
Rada and parliamentary factions to establish in Parliament a relevant working
group responsible for budgetary and tax legislation: "Together with the officials
we will visit you here every day in order to discuss each article and each
complicated issue that Ukrainian MPs have, but the most important thing is to
find a solution."
He noted that
every year, when discussing the draft budget "there is a lively and
long-lasting political debate on which budget should be adopted": "We
highly appreciate the position of members of the Ukrainian Parliament about the
need to use an exceptionally transparent approach in the formation of the state
budget, and the Government stands for that. In the walls of the Ukrainian
Parliament, as it has always been during all years of Ukrainian independence,
we will complete the draft, balance and approve it joining the efforts. It is
our common responsibility and we will fulfill it together".
