One of the main purposes of the State Budget for the following year is to ensure improvement of social standards: "In this budget we offer to raise social standards by 12%", stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk before the draft budget and tax changes were introduced in the Parliament on Thursday, December 17.

"The Government of Ukraine initiates for the first time during the crisis to compensate by increasing social standards for the rise in prices forecasted for 2016," said the Head of Government.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed the need to finalize by MPs before December 24 the draft state budget and necessary laws to ensure the implementation of it, in particular of tax laws: "It’s objectively that perfect budgets have never existed and will never exist. But I hope that 2016 budget will be effective and fair, in that case, if the Ukrainian Parliament decides today to hear the budget and by next Thursday both the budget and the laws necessary to ensure the implementation of it, including tax changes, will be agreed with honorable members of the Parliament".
