Vladyslava Rutytska, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration, commenting on the reports at the WTO Ministerial Conference, noted that the issues of regional economic unions had become increasingly important.
“The U.S. have intensified their activities in the Pacific. China seeks to create an effective economic bloc in Asia. Smaller-scale processes are taking place in many parts of the world.
Ukraine also needs to become more active in the creation of free trade zones. We have already grasped the European direction and Canada. But we are interested in Israel, Singapore, the Arab world, ECOWAS. These are the priority markets for Ukrainian products, primarily for food products,” Vladyslava Rutytska said.
Ukraine is a global player in many markets and should use the opportunities offered by the World Trade Organization.
