In a telephone
conversation on Friday, 20 November, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy
Yatsenyuk congratulated his counterpart, Chairman of the Council of Ministers
of the Republic of Poland Beata Szydło on appointment as the Prime
Minister of Poland.
In the first
place the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted the high level of cooperation between
the two states, which is particularly weighty in the context of current threats
to the common European security.
"We face a
lot of challenges – from combating the international terrorism threat to
countering Russian aggression. Ukraine relies on continued support of Poland
and I believe that Warsaw will remain one of the main supporters of the
European future of Ukraine, while the strategic partnership between our states will
remain joint and invariable priority of our foreign policy," stressed
Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
During the
conversation the sides tackled topical issues of the bilateral dialogue, as
well as short-term plans of intergovernmental collaboration. It was emphasized
that among promising activities are viewed the current exchange of experience
in reforming the public administration, decentralization, education and health.
The heads of
government commended the practice of holding joint meetings of both
Governments.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk
