Ukraine to see doubling of pensions in 2016

In 2016, it is provided that pension payments will increase twice, in May and in December. Chairman of the Board the Pension Fund of Ukraine Oleksiy Zarudny said this at a briefing at the Government House

He also stressed that the current pension increase in September was the first step towards a further rise in pension payments. Thanks to the additional resources, allocated by the Government, this step was undertaken 3 months earlier than scheduled.

As a result, 7.5 million pensioners have received higher pensions. In addition, it has been increased 11 types of pension payments, including the extra charge for excess length of service, minimum pensions to war invalids and participants of combat operations, minimum pensions to the miners, minimum pensions to the families of dead soldiers.
