He sent corresponding letter to three banks that participate in the state program: PJSC “State Savings Bank of Ukraine”, JSC “Ukreximbank”, PJSC JSB “Ukrgasbank”.

“On September 25, the National Bank cut its interest rate to 22% that is a good signal for the economy as a whole. Within this framework, we have asked the banks without delay to review credit’s products under the energy efficiency program with the aim of making them more profitable for a final customer. The more credits you have, the faster our country will become energy efficient”, Hennadii Zubko said.

The State energy efficiency programs as well as decentralization are key reforms which are in the competence of the Ministry Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities.

Under the program, credits are granted for the acquisition of alternative energy efficient boilers and materials. As of September 21, banks provided 31 503 credits to the sum of 525,7 million.
