Gov't to provide help to Ukrainian companies to access the EU markets
The Government, Ministries and departments together with the European
counterparts have agreed to take measures aimed at helping Ukrainian companies
to access the markets of the European Union.
Such statement has been made by Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine - Director of the Government Office for European
Integration, Nataliya Hnudyuk
while responding to the question on Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area
(DCFTA) which will be provisionally applied as of 1 January 2016.
"Together with our European colleagues we agreed to establish an
export help desk which could be useful for the potential Ukrainian exporters
wishing to trade with the EU. Such project includes a significant regional
component and its details will soon be presented to the exporters,"
highlighted Nataliya Hnydyuk.
Ms Hnydyuk also drew attention to the fact
that starting from January 1, 2016 the Ukrainian companies will have an access
to the European public procurement markets with the total annual amount of
about 1.8 trillion euro or 14% of the European GDP, including 425 billion of
euro which is the amount of earnings concluded as a result of international
tenders.
For this reason, the Government Office for European Integration
elaborated the electronic booklet "Public
procurement in the EU member states" for Ukrainian producers
which lists the sources of procurements, tenders and international auction held
in each EU country. This information is available on the government website
under the heading "European Integration", "Useful to know";
"Information for business."Ms Hnydyuk has
also stated that the Ministries are developing “road maps" for accessing
the markets in the most promising areas as, for example, agriculture, IT,
communications, etc.
"The Government’s responsibility is to ensure the adoption of
appropriate changes in order to make European standards work in Ukraine. The
business, in its turn, has to review manufacturing processes to guarantee
compliance with these standards. We have a common task," said Nataliya Hnydyuk.
