  • PM discussed the privatization issue with heads of international financial institutions and diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine

    On Thursday, 24 September, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, Head of IMF Mission in Ukraine Nikolay Georgiev, IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Jerome Vacher, EBRD Director for Ukraine Sevki Acuner, Regional Representative of the International Finance Corporation in Ukraine Rufat Alimardanov, the leadership of the American Agency for International Development and representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.

    The meeting paid special attention to the process of privatization of state-owned enterprises in Ukraine, the need to ensure its openness, transparency and competition.

    The Prime Minister of Ukraine appealed to the representatives of the international community in Ukraine with the request to support the privatization process with appropriate expertise.

    The parties exchanged views on the most urgent tasks of privatization, priority measures to be taken to improve the management of state property, creating legislative preconditions for accelerating the privatization process as well as effective functioning of privatized enterprises.
