Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Ukrainian airspace is closed to the passage of Russian planes to Syria

Airspace over the territory of Ukraine has been fully closed to any Russian planes to Syria, and airspace over neutral waters is currently being monitored in a special way. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed this following a meeting with his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico in the framework of his visit to Bratislava on Thursday, 10 September.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted that this morning he gave an appropriate order to UkSATSE (Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise) to tighten control, together with Eurocontrol, concerning flights of any Russian planes to Syria.

Recall that, in the framework of the visit of the governmental delegation to Bratislava, the Prime Minister of Ukraine met with President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska. Arseniy Yatsenyuk is to meet with Chairman of the Slovak Parliament Peter Pellegrini.
