Arseniy Yatsenyuk meets with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken
Prime
Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
met with Deputy Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken in
the framework of the working trip to Washington on Monday, July 13.
Antony J. Blinken congratulated Arseniy Yatsenyuk with the successful holding of the first
U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum.
Deputy Secretary
of State expressed strong support of the United States to the actions of the
Government of Ukraine.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk named the first U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum a new
page in relations between the two countries.
"The
American people support the people of Ukraine. We are fighting for rights and
freedoms, and we are fighting for the free world together with our American
friends. We appreciate the efforts of the US Administration, Parliament and
Senate in support of the Ukrainian people in our struggle for our better
future," PM stressed.
The sides
have discussed a wide range of issues. They talked primarily issues of peace
and security of Ukraine, its territorial integrity and independence.
During the
meeting they also discussed topical issues of financial, economic cooperation
and cooperation in the energy sector.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk asked the American side together to strengthen
global action to rescue the Ukrainian citizens, who were illegally condemned
and turned into a hostage by Kremlin: Nadiya Savchenko, Ihor Sentsov and many other compatriots.
