Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Russia again violates the Minsk deal ahead of G7 summit
On the eve of the
G7 summit, Russia has once again breached the Minsk deal and instructed its
terrorists to start a military operation: "I expect that the international
community will give an adequate response at the summit," Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
stated during a visit to
the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre (IPSC)
of Western Operational Command of the Land Forces of Ukraine in Yavoriv, Lviv region, on
Wednesday, June 3.
"Today, Russia
has once again violated the Minsk agreements. Ahead
of a meeting of the Group of Seven, yesterday Russia deliberately scuttled a meeting
of the trilateral contact group, and today it has instructed its terrorists to
begin a military operation," Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized.
He stressed that
any diplomatic efforts should be supported by a strong and professional army,
as well as by joint efforts of all G7 states and Western partners.
"This is
another challenge for the world community", the Prime Minister said.
"I am hopeful that the international community will give a proper and adequate response to Russian aggression at the G7 summit," Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined.
