Pavlo Rozenko: IMF loans will be used to support reforms

Funds provided by the International monetary Fund and other international organizations should be used to support financial and economic stability of Ukraine and to undertake reforms, which in the future will provide a resource for improving the quality of life of Ukrainians. This was started by the Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“Consumption of the funds of the international community can give us only a temporary positive effect – the decline of social tension, but in the long run – it is a noose around necks of future generations,” he said.

"The effects of the consumption of IMF funds for many previous years, we feel now - debts are growing, but social and economic situation, unfortunately, is not improving, the Minister said. – The only way out of this situation is to direct these resources to support financial and economic stability of Ukraine, and most importantly - to support reform”.

“That is what both international donors and the Government are talking about– only economy could provide a resource for improving the quality of life of Ukrainians,” Pavlo Rozenko stressed.

He also noted that today, unfortunately, we cannot exclude the factor of war, but it is not the reason to failure out reforms "on the contrary – now we have the best time for reforms," the Minister said.
