Arseniy Yatsenyuk called on Parliament to offer candidate to fill the post of chairman of National Agency for Prevention of Corruption

On Friday, April 24, during An Hour of Questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk called on Parliament to offer a candidate to fill the post of a chairman of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption to speed up holding a meeting of the Competition Commission.

He reminded that the Government had adopted a decision to launch the contest to assume office of a chairman of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption: "It is not a law enforcement body but an agency performing a preventive function and having responsibility to review all revenues and expenditures of public officials, people's deputies of Ukraine, judges, prosecutors - all those who receive money from Ukrainian taxpayers."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk added that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption is empowered to fill a single public register of all tax declarations and declarations of government officials, and also check correspondence of lifestyle of an official with his declaration.
