Arseniy Yatsenyuk to the parliamentary coalition: "We have no right to afford any political instability"

At the Government session on Wednesday, April 22, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to all parliamentary coalition factions: "We have no right to afford any political instability. The parliamentary coalition should be united, coherent and effective. This is the key to the future success of Ukraine following the way of reforms and positive changes."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "demonstrates certain turbulence".

The Prime Minister appealed to all parliamentary factions of the coalition: "We have no right to afford any political instability. The parliamentary coalition should be united, coherent and efficient. This is the key to the future success of Ukraine following the way of reforms and positive changes."

According to him, any attempt to destabilize the Government has failed: "And I will defend parliamentary coalition and each member of the parliamentary coalition of the European choice".

"If there is European choice, there should be a European approach. We all have to stick together. If there are certain unresolved issues – just find the solution behind the closed door and come up with a common coherent stance. We must get rid of this perennial problem of the Ukrainian Democrats: we come to power together, but when at power, when it is time to answer, - they start quarrelling," he stressed.

"I want to reiterate that as the Head of Government I will protect every member of the parliamentary coalition, each MP and each faction. And I ask to ensure unity in the Parliament similar to that demonstrated by all our partners", stressed the Prime Minister.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded in the following two months, the Parliament must adopt a number of laws already submitted by the Government to the Verkhovna Rada. He expressed hope that these laws would be passed until the next visit of the IMF mission to Ukraine: "There is no other option. Throughout recent 15 months we have fulfilled everything we promised. We promise not much, but everything we promise we implement. This is a guarantee for having a high level discussion with us, support from our western partners".

Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that Ukraine had substantially changed approaches and the history of relations with international creditors: "Reputation is crucial. Both the Government and the parliamentary coalition will preserve and confirm its reputation on our way of pursuing the planned reforms much needed for the country".
