Arseniy Yatsenyuk examines and tests cars for new Ukrainian patrol police

On Saturday, April 4, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk inspected and tested cars purchased for a new Ukrainian patrol police.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk acquainted with the final version of the design for the new patrol police. He spoke with authors of the design that won according to the vote of the citizens.

He examined the electronic equipment installed in the car, tested the automatic registration system of fines for the violation of traffic rules.

The Prime Minister showed to journalists the form of an administrative protocol for traffic violations. He noted that this protocol would be filled in "just within a few seconds" and printed directly in a police car.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk with Interior Minister Arsen Avakov got into one of the cars and drove the streets of Kyiv.

The Prime Minister told reporters that 300 cars were purchased for Kyiv, about 2000 throughout Ukraine: "We are going to purchase more cars."

"Such cars have to drive on the streets all over Ukraine. We begin police reform in Kyiv, keep on in cities with over a million dwellers, then - all cities of Ukraine," he stressed.

The Prime Minister said that the cars had been purchased jointly with the Government of Japan, funds had been allocated under the Kyoto Protocol. The cars were purchased in Japan and supplied to Ukraine.
