Ukraine and Turkey ready to deepen investment and trade-economic relations

Ukraine is interested in stirring up cooperation with Turkey in the framework of the bilateral working group on cooperation in agriculture. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olexii Pavlenko during a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Ukraine Mr. Yonet Can Tezel.

The Minister determined the main cooperation lines - activization of investments, setting up joint ventures, international forums involving business entities of Ukraine and Turkey.

Olexii Pavlenko informed the Ambassador about a deregulation process in the agricultural sector, the European integration activity in the industry, and actions to curb corruption. "Ukraine is interested in acquiring Turkish experience, in particular in the formation of a system of quality and food safety control. Since this is the key to a successful tourism, which is actively developing in the Turkish Republic", said the Minister.

Olexii Pavlenko noted the importance of holding in 2015 a meeting of Ukrainian-Turkish working group on agriculture, which can take place during the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Turkish Commission on trade and economic cooperation.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Ukraine Mr. Yonet Can Tezel expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation. He stressed cooperation should be deepened and confirmed an intention to maintain and broaden partnership.
